A typical day in the life of a Creche Assistant
* Create a warm, inclusive, and inviting atmosphere for children and their families.
* Greet parents and children in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive start to their creche experience.
* Plan and deliver a variety of activities tailored to different age groups, ranging from creative arts to physical play.
* Encourage children’s engagement, creativity, and physical development through structured and free play.
* Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and wellbeing in accordance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Use the Club B facilities to provide a fun and secure environment for children.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the creche, ensuring all equipment and facilities are sanitised and ready for use.
* Set up and pack away activities, leaving the creche prepared for the next session.
* Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child’s experience and addressing any questions or concerns.
* Build trust and rapport with both parents and children to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience.
What we are looking for
* Be qualified in Early Years Level 2 or an equivalent qualification.
* Experience working with children in a childcare or similar setting.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with parents and engage children effectively.
* Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
* Enthusiastic and passionate about working with children.
* Reliable, responsible, and attentive to detail.
* Ability to remain calm and patient in a dynamic environment.
It would be desirable if you were qualified in Level 3 Early Years or an equivalent. It would also be advantageous if you had a Paediatric First Aid Certification.
