Legal Operations & Contracts Coordinator

This is an opportunity to join a growing in-house legal function where you can play a meaningful role in building structured legal operations within a complex, regulated environment.
The Role
As a Legal Operations & Contracts Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of legal operations, ensuring contracts, legal documentation and compliance processes are managed efficiently and consistently. You will manage contract templates and lifecycle processes, administer routine agreements such as NDAs and supplier contracts, and maintain legal records and systems that support effective governance.
Working closely with the Legal Director & Company Secretary and wider stakeholders, you will coordinate contract workflows, track legal matters and obligations, support policy and compliance activities, and liaise with external legal advisers and the Data Protection Officer where required.
This role would suit someone highly organised and detail-focused who enjoys bringing structure to processes and acting as a trusted operational support within an in-house legal team.
Key Responsibilities & Priorities
* Manage contract templates and support the end-to-end contract lifecycle process, ensuring consistency and accuracy
* Draft and administer routine contracts using approved templates (including NDAs and supplier agreements)
* Maintain the contract repository and legal document management systems, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
* Coordinate instructions to external legal advisers and support the tracking of legal matters
* Track contractual obligations, key dates, and legal actions, ensuring timely follow-up where required
* Support the maintenance of legal policies and compliance documentation
* Coordinate internal data protection activities, working with the external Data Protection Officer where needed
* Provide administrative support to the legal function, including invoicing, purchase orders, and legal spend tracking

About You
Essential experience and knowledge
* Previous experience in a legal operations, legal administration, paralegal, or legal secretary role
* Strong exposure to contract administration, legal documentation, or contract management processes
* Proven ability to maintain legal records, document management systems, or contract repositories
* Confidence coordinating with internal stakeholders and external legal advisers
* Good understanding of contract processes and legal compliance requirements
* Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
* Familiarity with supporting policy or compliance documentation
* Experience working within an in-house legal team
* Proficient in Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, with experience maintaining documentation and records within shared repositories
Desirable
* Exposure to data protection processes or supporting a Data Protection Officer
* Familiarity with invoicing processes, purchase orders, or legal spend tracking
* Background working in a regulated organisation
