Finance Manager Location: Cardiff Salary: Up to £45,000 Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm (4:30pm finish on Fridays) Flexibility: Part-time considered (2–3 days per week) Hybrid Working: 2–3 days per week from home This is a key Finance Manager role with real influence and clear progression. You will take ownership of the finance function, providing accurate reporting, strong financial control, and commercial insight to support strategic decision-making across the business. Working closely with the Leadership Team, you’ll help shape the future of the organisation while developing your own career into a more senior finance leadership position. Main Duties Financial Planning & Performance Own the budgeting and forecasting process Deliver accurate reconciliations, balance sheets, and performance analysis Track results against budget and provide clear commercial insight Partner with Project Directors and the Leadership Team on financial decisions Accounting, Invoicing & Reporting Run day-to-day finance operations, including ledgers, payables/receivables, and payroll coordination Prepare fee applications, invoices, and supporting documentation Control procurement and business expenditure Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior stakeholders Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within financial data Present financial information at internal meetings and business reviews Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships Take ownership of aged debt, driving timely payment and building strong client relationships Ensure liquidity to support both day-to-day operations and future growth Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and internal requirements Develop and maintain finance strategy, procedures, and the finance handbook Review and improve financial processes and IMS documentation Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and external bodies Act as a trusted finance partner across the business Support and develop colleagues in financial best practice Provide clear, practical financial guidance to Project Managers and Directors Get involved in wider business initiatives as required What You’ll Bring Strong commercial and analytical mindset Excellent attention to detail with the confidence to challenge and influence Clear, engaging communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment High standards of integrity and professionalism Skills and Experience Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CFA) desirable 5–8 years’ experience in finance or accounting, including managerial responsibility Strong knowledge of invoicing, reporting, budgeting, and controls Experience with accounting/ERP systems (e.g. Sage) and advanced Excel skills What’s On Offer Salary up to £45,000 Hybrid working and part-time options Early Friday finish Clear progression and development opportunities Supportive, collaborative working environment Benefits including medical insurance, enhanced holiday, volunteering days, life assurance, and mentoring If interested please click APPLY
