The role
Description Starting salary: £29,622 Contract type: Fixed term contract for 1 year Grade: 2 Location: Longmore House, Edinburgh with hybrid working available Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 35 hours Interviews: To be held in person at Longmore House on week commencing 20 July 2026 The Income Officer will join the Income Team, comprising of three other income officers, within the Finance Department of the Finance and Corporate Services Directorate. The primary responsibilities of this post are to ensure accurate and prompt creation or sales ledger invoices, raising and allocating bank receipts and reconciling site and webstore income. Raising customer invoices. Allocating payments against outstanding invoices, investigating anomalies with customers to resolve. Maintaining outstanding debt at an acceptable level by contacting customers to investigate outstanding balances. Undertaking credit check on new customers in line with credit control policy. Performing other ad hoc reconciliations. Updating our finance systems for transactions through our bank accounts. Reviewing capital expenditure and liaising with business area to identify new fixed assets and our fixed asset database. Undertaking annual fixed asset verification exercise. Undertaking other general administrative duties as required. Work closely with the Income Team and Manager and provide cover as required. Manage your workload and work to deadlines.
