Job Opportunity: Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Engineer to join our team at Heathrow Airport. Working within our Small Works and Facilities team, this is a varied and hands-on role carrying out maintenance, repairs, and minor installations across terminal buildings and critical infrastructure areas.

Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems (DX units, split systems, VRV/VRF, AHUs, etc.)
* Diagnose faults and perform necessary repairs efficiently and to a high standard
* Support minor installation and upgrade works across terminals and plant rooms
* Monitor and maintain critical HVAC systems in compliance with industry regulations
* Accurately complete service reports, logbooks, and maintenance records
* Adhere strictly to health & safety and airport security protocols at all times
* Liaise with supervisors, clients, and other trades to deliver works smoothly and effectively
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent
* F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential)
* Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and electrical fault-finding
* Previous experience in a commercial or industrial environment (airport experience beneficial)
* CSCS/ECS card
* Full UK driving licence preferred
* Must be eligible for Heathrow security clearance (clean criminal record and right to work in the UK)
