We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Finance for maternity cover on a fixed-term one-year contract. The holder of this post will be involved with teaching modules in Finance at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with associated responsibilities in module administration and student support. Expertise and/or experience with teaching in Financial Economics, Financial Markets, and Financial Stability would be an advantage.
The Department of Finance and Accounting comprises two areas: Finance (The ICMA Centre) and Accountancy. The post-holder is expected to contribute to Finance teaching. The appointee is expected to:
1. Teach modules in the broad area of Finance at undergraduate and pre-experience master’s levels, as agreed by the Head of Department; ability to teach Financial Economics and Financial Markets topics is required. Experience with Blackboard is advantageous but not essential.
2. Take on administrative duties, contribute to academic citizenship activities, and assume academic leadership roles as appropriate.
You will have:
1. A PhD in Finance or Economics
2. Experience with university-level teaching in English
