An exciting opportunity for a Senior Payroll Administrator to join our Employer Benefits Team in Coventry on a permanent basis.

The role
As Senior Payroll Administrator you will provide a high quality pension payroll service for clients. You will be responsible for ensuring all tasks including – processing starters, leavers & amendments/tax code changes/reconciliation of the payrolls/RTI file creation & submission to HMRC/BACS payment file creation and submission via the BACS software/payslip production, are completed accurately, promoting a right first time approach.
You will make a meaningful impact supporting all team members by sharing your knowledge and best practice in order to aid employee development and ensure customers receive excellent customer service.
The person
We are looking for someone who has experience of providing a high quality payroll service and has processed various tasks such as starters, leavers, amendments to tax codes, reconciliation of payrolls, RTI file creation and other payroll related activities. You will have conducted regular checks to ensure payrolls are on target and have the ability to resolve or escalate any concerns which may arise. We will require this role to be a subject matter expert on payroll processing and be able to support on projects as well as share knowledge with team members to help develop their understanding and skills in this area.
You will be able to demonstrate a positive and proactive approach when dealing with workloads and challenges and remain professional at all times when interacting with colleagues within the office and across the business. Having a passion for supporting others development through sharing best practice and lessons learned in order to aid your colleague’s development whilst ensuring customers receive excellent customer service is key. Taking ownership of your workload and knowledge is essential you will be required to actively seek information on changes to procedures, client requirements and legislation to ensure the processes and procedures we are following are correct and up to date.
