Location: Northampton

Here at Aspire People, we are on the lookout for a passionate and experienced SENDCO looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs. We are seeking a committed and proactive Full-Time SENDCO to join a well-established SEN School in Northampton, starting September 2025.

The school provides a supportive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for pupils with a wide range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. We are proud of their child-centred approach and their strong, collaborative staff team who work tirelessly to ensure every pupil can thrive and achieve their full potential.

The Role:
As SENDCO, you will lead on all aspects of SEND provision across the school. You will play a key strategic role in developing inclusive practices, ensuring compliance with EHCPs, and supporting staff to deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching. This is a full-time, leadership-level position, with responsibility for safeguarding, liaison with external agencies, and promoting the highest standards of teaching and learning for SEND pupils.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the SEND provision across the school
Lead and coordinate the implementation of EHCPs and provision mapping
Provide guidance, support, and training to teaching and support staff
Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure effective communication and support
Monitor progress and adapt strategies to meet individual student needs
Play a key role in the school's safeguarding and inclusion policies
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A qualified teacher status (QTS)
The National Award for SEN Coordination (or be working towards it)
Significant experience working with children with a range of SEND needs
Excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
Strong leadership and communication skills
A genuine passion for inclusive education
