Job Title: Multi-skilled Engineering Technician

We are recruiting for a Multi-skilled Engineering Technician required to join a busy and fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting production through effective maintenance and engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities - Multi-skilled Engineering Technician
* Carry out day to day engineering and maintenance activities across production facilities
* Ensure maximum plant availability through fault finding diagnosis and repair of equipment including conveyors elevators form fill and seal machines and palletisers
* Support both planned and reactive maintenance to maximise operational efficiency
* Maintain electrical plant equipment and control systems including PLC and SCADA
* Assist with planned maintenance schedules including shutdown activities
* Install and commission new plant equipment including electrical and mechanical systems
* Work with pneumatics hydraulics and fabrication as required
* Communicate maintenance activities effectively with production and engineering teams
* Follow safe systems of work and comply with all health safety and environmental policies
Qualifications & Requirements - Multi-skilled Engineering Technician
* Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification such as BTEC ONC or similar
* 17th Edition Regulations Certificate or equivalent
* Proven experience in engineering maintenance within a production or manufacturing environment
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair skills
* Experience working with PLC and SCADA systems
* Experience using preventive maintenance systems and CMMS
* Background in FMCG or high volume manufacturing environments
* Experience with high speed packaging equipment and robotics systems
* Knowledge of pneumatics hydraulics and control systems
* Understanding of lean manufacturing principles such as TPM 5S and Six Sigma
