Directlyreporting to the Senior Operations Manager the role ofInfrastructure Contract Manager is a pivotal one. You will overseethe entire lifecycle of fencing projects from tendering andplanning to development and execution across rail road and watersectors.
Your expertise and leadershipwill be instrumental in fostering collaboration among internalteams external stakeholders and supplier partners ensuring thetimely and budgetconscious delivery of projects while upholdingquality and safety standards.
Beyond fencing youmay also be involved in civils work arboriculture landscape andecology projects. You will be focused predominantly on the Railsector with some Highways work as well.
The rolecovers an area from Manchester to Carlisle and predominantly coversLNW North LNE North and Scotland with occasional travel to coverprojects nationwide.
KeyResponsibilities will be to;
* Collaborate with Business Development Site Managers andSupervisors to conduct site surveys and assess workscope.
* Develop comprehensive project planssetting project scope objectives and deliverables in partnershipwith clients.
* Effectively manage projectbudgets resource allocation and expenses to maintain optimalfinancial performance.
* Ensure projects arealigned with contract and commercial requirements.
* Work alongside commercial teams to ensure accurate andpunctual application submissions.
* Beaccountable for achieving a minimum gross profit in line with theagreed budget.
* Coordinate efforts withengineering design procurement and construction teams to ensurestreamlined project execution.
* Foster strongrelationships with both internal and externalstakeholders.
* Identify potential issuesformulate contingency plans and implement corrective actions tomitigate risks.
* Monitor project advancementand performance providing regular updates to senior management andstakeholders.
* Drive innovation by pinpointingopportunities for process enhancement and the adoption of bestpractices.
* Ensure strict adherence to safetyenvironmental and industry regulations throughout all projectphases.
* Draft and review safetycriticaldocumentation (WPP TBS etc.).
* Serve as theResponsible Manager in accordance with 019Standard.
Qualificationsand Experience:
* Demonstrated successful management and delivery oftransportation or rail infrastructure projects.
* Profound familiarity with project managementmethodologies tools and techniques.
* Outstanding leadership capabilities motivating andinspiring crossfunctional teams.
* Exceptionalcommunication and interpersonal skills facilitating collaborationwith internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience in risk management contract negotiation andprocurement processes.
* Proficiency in projectmanagement software and tools.
* Competency inWord Excel SharePoint and other digital systems.
* Prior experience in the role of ResponsibleManager.
* Advantageous to have prior experienceas a CRE (Contractor ResponsibleEngineer).
