Main duties of the job
As a Ward Staff Nurse, you will:
* Be flexible, motivated, an excellent communicator and team worker
* Join a close-knit team headed by our matron on our consultant-led ward
* Fully understand and pay close attention to each patient's needs
* Work directly with some of the best clinical talent around
* Gain valuable experience of new practices, equipment and facilities
* Collaborate with practitioners across other departments to ensure continuity in patient care

Nuffield Health North Staffs Hospital is recognised for our expert clinical care, expertise and friendly atmosphere. Our excellent teamwork and commitment to training has created an innovative clinical environment. Our purpose-built hospital has 39 bedrooms, 3 theatres, and 1 minor treatment facility, as well as a busy outpatient department. We also provide physiotherapy, pathology, CT, MRI and diagnostic imaging services. We are conveniently located on Clayton Road, off the A519, and provide free parking for staff.
Job responsibilities
As a Staff Nurse on the Elective Surgical Ward at our North Staffs Hospital, you'll drive the standard in patient care. You're registered with the appropriate governing body, and you bring the qualifications and experience that are relevant to your registration, including NMC. You also have post-registration experience.
