I'm working with a highly respected, design-focused building services consultancy that is entering a significant growth phase in Birmingham. With a strong project pipeline and long-standing client relationships, they have clear plans to double the size of their Birmingham office within the next 12 months - creating a genuine opportunity for senior leaders to help shape that expansion.
They are now looking to appoint a Principal Electrical Engineer to work closely with the local Director and play a key role in leading technical delivery, client relationships, and team development.
This is not just a technical position - it's a leadership role within a growing regional hub.
The Opportunity
As Principal Electrical Engineer, you will act as a focal point for clients and take ownership of multiple projects from early feasibility through to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading client liaison and acting as the primary technical contact
2. Managing multidisciplinary coordination and representing the business at meetings
3. Preparing and developing client briefs, feasibility studies and cost plans
4. Producing detailed design calculations, specifications, schedules and tender documentation
