Description
We’re looking for a CAD Technician to join our design team, supporting the delivery of clean and wastewater projects. In this role, you’ll produce accurate and high-quality technical drawings using AutoCAD, including private land, site investigation and scope drawings, in line with client standards.
You’ll work closely with engineers and designers to translate mark-ups into detailed plans, manage drawing registers, review documentation, and support technical queries. This is a great opportunity for someone with water industry experience who is organised, detail-focused, and confident working across multiple projects in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Private Land Drawing (Land Referencing, Section 6, Section 159 & Section 168 Notice Plans)
* Site Investigation Drawings (Trial Hole/Coupon Cut/Sample Cut)
* Completing Overview Drawings / Scope Drawings
* Competently produce detailed design & as-laid drawings using AutoCAD in accordance with the client's asset design standards and procedures.
* Support the design team by creating high-quality detailed technical drawings, plans and general arrangements.
* Produce CAD plans using operational mark-up sketches
* Support the design team by completing basic administrative tasks
* Reviewing scope & modelling documentation
* Submit technical queries on behalf of the design team
* Drawing Registers
* Requesting & reviewing STAT plans
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Experience of working in the water industry on clean/wastewater projects
* Understanding and knowledge of relevant Engineering specifications that apply to the water industry
* Experienced user of AutoCAD
* Competent in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
* Ability to work as part of a team and to organise your workload across multiple projects
