Our A-Level department is looking for a Programme Lead in A-Levels.
The role of the Programme Lead is to be an ambassador for the college and to take the strategic lead for your designated curriculum area. As an integral member of the college’s wider team you will be responsible for the operational management of your curriculum areas, the line‑management of staff and will teach an appropriate caseload within the curriculum area. This post may require some evening and weekend working to support College events including interview evenings and parents’ evenings.
Main Duties
* Plan teaching, learning and assessment for college programmes using the appropriate College format to ensure effective learning.
* Deliver teaching and learning to an Outstanding standard to ensure learners achieve high success rates.
* Thoroughly prepare suitable teaching, learning and assessment materials for a range of courses/classes and make use of a variety and appropriate learning and teaching methods.
* Have available an up‑to‑date syllabus and scheme of work (showing methods of delivery and embedded cross‑cutting themes) for each course/class taught.
* Support learners progress through personal tutoring and parent/careers evenings to help learners achieve their full potential and progress appropriately.
