Post Details
Shift pattern: Rotational. Fixed‑term contract: 12 months, starting August 2026 or February 2027.
The post is a Clinical Fellow in the RAH Critical Care team, based at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. It accommodates both full‑time and part‑time applicants (including 6/12 contract).
Responsibilities
As a Clinical Fellow you will:
* Provide routine and emergency care to Level 2 and Level 3 patients within the Critical Care department.
* Assist with transfer of critically ill patients.
* Work clinical shifts, including nights and weekends, as part of a New Deal compliant rota with trainees from the Anaesthesia Department and Advanced Critical Care Practitioners.
* Participate in an 80:20 split of clinical and non‑clinical duties.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
* Completed the Foundation Programme within the last 3.5 years, or completed core training in medicine, anaesthesia or surgery.
* Interest in a career in anaesthesia/critical care.
* Ability to attend a UK graduate medical training programme and, if needed, provide a Certificate of Readiness to Enter Specialty Training (CREST).
