The LiFE Multi Academy Trust: Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Teaching Assistant Paid at Grade 6 (points 9 – 10)
£20,445 to £20,770 (actual salary) 34 hours per week, plus 5 days for training
Required ASAP for one academic year in the first instance
The SHINE Centre is a through provision educating up to 30 students from KS1 through KS4 across three separate buildings on the Winstanley secondary and Kingsway primary site. These are bespoke Learning Centres, self-contained, with their own dedicated staff. The centre runs as a “school within a school”. The SHINE Centre name reflects the values that are already embedded within The Winstanley School – Supporting others, Hard work, Independence, Never giving up, and Excellence.
Responsibilities
* Support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs to enable effective learning.
* Contribute to curriculum planning and safeguarding, and participate in EHCP reviews.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with families.
* Support physical education activities.
* Help develop and implement SEMH resources and contribute to the SHINE Centre development.
