Working within the School of Digital Arts (SODA) you will join a team working on delivery of the UNESCO City of Lifelong Learning (CoLL) project by assisting, and where necessary taking the lead, with research data collection and analysis, dissemination of findings to appropriate groups related to the project, working with community groups on and off campus and working with the RISE team, colleagues from Manchester City Council, colleagues from University of Manchester and a wide variety of community groups across the city.
About the role:
This role will foster the development of raising the aspirations of Manchester residents, learners and employees, notably promoting pathways which culminate in core transferable, to high, skills; shape, influence and drive an online accreditation scheme, which hosts CoLL activity which aligns with Manchester resident, employee and learner aspirations, industry skills and wider economic needs; anchor work around Manchester scaling up the existing Skills for Life programme to adults, to embed these core skills into the CoLL agenda; reach communities, representative of Manchester's demographic landscape, promoting the breath of Lifelong Learning opportunities; actively contribute to the CoLL agenda, at a local to international level, as strategic research partners.
The job will be for 3 days per week (0.6 FT) on a fixed-term basis for a maximum of 36 months. The working pattern will be on and off-campus with some remote working possible depending on project stage.
