A Little More About Your Role…
We are looking for a Senior environmental professional to support our Environmental Management and Assessment Team in one of our UK offices. Our projects span sectors such as energy, aviation, nuclear, rail, property, and Local Government. We need creative, dedicated individuals with a solid grounding in environmental design, assessment, and management across project stages.
As part of one of the UK's largest environmental consultancies, WSP handles challenging, high-profile projects, from small developments to major infrastructure schemes. Our team manages environmental inputs throughout project lifecycles, from concept to consent, working closely with specialists and other professionals to enhance environmental and community benefits.
The role is suited for proactive individuals eager to progress their careers, managing environmental aspects from feasibility to delivery, including tasks like bidding, project management, and client liaison.
Responsibilities include:
Providing environmental advice to clients and project teams
Managing environmental assessments, plans, and statements
Overseeing project performance in technical, quality, and safety aspects
Building client relationships and supporting business development
Contributing to innovative practices and mentoring junior staff
What We Are Looking For
A relevant environmental degree and professional qualification (e.g., IEMA membership)
Experience with EIA processes and legislation
Proven project coordination and management skills
Strong communication skills and team collaboration experience
Ability to promote health, safety, and wellbeing culture
