Our client, a leading consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role focuses on detailed design work for storm storage tanks and combined sewer overflows (CSOs) as part of the storm overflow alliance. The position offers hybrid, flexible, and remote working options for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting detailed structural design for storm storage tanks and CSOs
Collaborating with the project team to ensure effective project delivery
Performing structural analysis and assessments to ensure compliance with relevant standards
Preparing and reviewing technical reports and design documentation
Liaising with stakeholders and clients to ensure project requirements are met
Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers
Ensuring all designs adhere to safety and quality standards
Visiting project sites as required, with expenses covered
Job Requirements:
Experience in structural engineering within the water sector
Strong knowledge of structural design principles and relevant software
Proficiency in designing storm storage tanks and CSOs
Understanding of industry standards and regulations
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid, flexible, or remote working environment
Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
