Remuneration: £25,476 - £27,919 pro-rata
Overall Purpose of Post
The Volunteer Engagement Co-ordinator is responsible for volunteer retention and coordination across the organisation. The role ensures adherence to our data management strategy, supporting monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes. The postholder will facilitate volunteer recruitment, induction, and support, contributing to service development and promoting good practice in service delivery, evaluation, and quality assurance, in collaboration with Service Leads & SMT.
Key Responsibilities
1. Volunteer Coordination: Implement and refine volunteer recruitment strategies, oversee the volunteer database, maintain inventory of volunteer needs, process Access NI checks, update role descriptions, organize training, develop new initiatives, promote volunteering, and maintain communication with volunteers.
2. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning: Support monitoring and evaluation processes, develop case studies, coordinate satisfaction surveys, and ensure processes meet funding requirements.
3. Quality Assurance and Development: Assist in reviewing policies, ensure compliance with legislation and best practices, promote diversity, and support quality improvement initiatives.
4. Data and Information Management: Follow reporting mechanisms, analyze data to inform service provision, and ensure GDPR compliance.
5. External Relationships: Build stakeholder relationships, attend external meetings, and develop partnerships with relevant organisations.
6. General: Support volunteers as part of a multidisciplinary team, promote services, and undertake other duties as required. Flexibility for evening and weekend work is necessary.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria: Experience in delivering training, organizing events, managing people or volunteers; GCSE English and Maths; excellent communication skills; self-management; organizational and negotiation skills; IT proficiency; teamwork ability; independent work capability; adaptable, empathetic, and supportive attitude; valid driving license and transport.
Desirable Criteria: Experience in health and social care, community engagement, volunteer development, and relevant qualifications.
