Job description: Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician
Location: Bridgwater
Contract Type: Permanent, 4 on 4 off (7 AM - 7 PM, 2 days / 2 nights)
Role Overview: As a Multi-Skilled Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for delivering scheduled and reactive maintenance across the site.
Your role involves diagnosing and resolving issues swiftly to minimize downtime, as well as identifying and implementing cost-effective improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of site assets and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Proficiently interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.
2. Utilize basic automation skills for fault finding and remediation, with strong electrical skills equivalent to HNC level and sound mechanical skills for diagnosis and replacement.
3. Diligently complete all maintenance tasks, including PM, CBM, CI, and corrective actions. Contribute to FMEA activities as needed.
4. Identify and implement improvements to enhance site operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Completion of a recognized apprenticeship: HNC in Electrical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering with additional electrical qualifications or competence.
* Advantageous: Experience with CI tools and techniques in automation.
* Proven experience in maintenance within the manufacturing industry.
* Desirable: ONC/HNC, IOSH/NEBOSH certifications.
Shift Details: This role operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, rotating between days and nights (2 days, 2 nights).
