Key Responsibilities
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
* Supporting small group interventions in literacy, numeracy, communication, and emotional regulation
* Helping pupils access the curriculum alongside their peers
* Implementing strategies detailed in EHCPs, IEPs, and behaviour support plans
* Assisting with emotional regulation, sensory needs, and social interaction
* Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and self-confidence
* Supporting pupils during classroom activities, transitions, playtimes, and lunchtimes
* Preparing resources and visual aids to enhance learning
* Observing and recording pupil progress and feeding back to teaching staff
* Collaborating closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
* Maintaining a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
* Supporting personal care where required, with training provided
* Adhering to all safeguarding and child protection procedures

The Ideal Candidate
