London or Reading (4 days per week in office)
£115,000 + £7,000 car allowance + 20% bonus
The Opportunity
A leading enterprise Telco organisation is seeking a Director of Data Management to take ownership of enterprise-wide data governance and lifecycle management. This is a high-impact leadership role, shaping and embedding end-to-end data governance across a complex, regulated environment.
You will be responsible for setting the vision, strategy, and execution of data management and governance practices across the organisation, leading a senior team of 6–7 Heads of Function.
Key Responsibilities
Own and drive end-to-end Data Governance across the full data lifecycle
Build and implement enterprise-wide Data Governance strategy and frameworks, and be able to articulate how these were developed and delivered end-to-end
Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance across multiple domains
Partner with senior technology, product, and business stakeholders to align data governance with commercial objectives
Lead, mentor, and develop a leadership team of 6–7 senior managers
Influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders at executive level
Support large-scale transformation initiatives within a complex Telco environment
About You
Proven experience in a Director-level Data Management or Data Governance role within a large enterprise environment
Demonstrable track record of building and implementing Data Governance strategy and frameworks, with the ability to explain end-to-end delivery
Strong background in Data Governance, including ownership of policies, controls, and lifecycle management
Confident senior leader with experience managing leaders of leaders
Able to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution
