Mainstream Teaching Assistant – Rossendale
£90-105 per day
Age group: EYFS-KS2
Working hours: Monday to Friday (8:30-3:30)
Start date: ASAP (dependant on references and DBS)
Value Education are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work at the Mainstream Primary schools we support in the Rossendale, and surrounding areas.
The ideal candidates will have a passion for education and be committed to helping each child in the most effective way depending on the individual needs.
Duties
* Assisting the Class Teacher in preparing work for the lesson ahead
* Assisting with group activities
* Working with children on a 1:1 and group basis
* Carrying out interventions where needed
* Providing additional support to children with a range of SEN needs
* Working inside and outside the classroom
* Reporting to teachers/parents on progress
Requirements
* Minimum of 6 months previous experience working within schools
* Confident in communicating with parents, pupils and members of staff
* Be able to handle difficult situations and behaviour efficiently
* Flexible and able to cover where needed across EYFS-KS2
* A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or relevant experience)
