About the Role
You will work in our Safeguarding Hub as an Assistant Care Manager, collaborating with the social work team and other health care professionals to provide statutory social work services to people in the West Sussex area.
Hub for Safeguarding Responsibilities
* Serve as single point of contact for all recommendations from safeguarding adults, performing preliminary screening and decision‑making for referrals.
* Accept and start the first safeguarding plans.
* Collaborate with other organisations (police, service providers, housing authorities, etc.) to manage risk.
* Provide Adults’ Services and associated organisations with guidance on statutory safeguarding obligations and procedures.

Pay range: £29,540 to £32,061 annually
Pattern of Work: Full‑time
Type of Contract: Permanent
Location: Horsham (at least two workdays per week)
The Safeguarding Hub’s staff decides whether a referral should be pursued as a safeguarding issue, inquiry or another suitable path. The role focuses on putting the person at the center of decision‑making, obtaining their input, and ensuring mental competence and advocacy support. The team works closely with Sussex Police, ambulance services, the Care Quality Commission, and health services. The role also involves data analysis for team growth, presentation of safeguarding work, and new hire orientation.
Minimum wage for this position is £41,700 annually; visa sponsorship is available. Applicants must determine eligibility for a skilled worker visa.
