Assistant Site Manager - Freelance
An excellent long‑term freelance opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Site Manager to join a Tier 1 contractor on a well‑run project in Shoeburyness. This role offers stability, strong site support, and the chance to work within a professional, structured team on a quality build.
About the role of Assistant Site Manager
As Assistant Site Manager, you'll be supporting the Site Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard. The project is being delivered by a Tier 1 contractor with clear processes, a solid management structure, and long‑term work available for the right individual.
You'll be site‑based in Shoeburyness, working closely with subcontractors, engineers, and the wider project team to help drive progress and maintain site standards.
Responsibilities for Assistant Site Manager
* Supporting the Site Manager with daily site operations
* Managing and overseeing subcontractors on site
* Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained at all times
* Assisting with programme delivery, quality checks, and site paperwork
Requirements for Assistant Site Manager
* Previous experience working as an Assistant Site Manager or similar role
* Background working on construction projects with main contractors
* SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS (preferred)
* Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands‑on approach
This role is with a well‑established Tier 1 contractor known for delivering high‑quality projects and providing long‑term opportunities.
