Role Description
We are seeking a Duty Manager for a part‑time, on‑site position based in Burgess Hill. The Duty Manager will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of our sports facilities, coordinate schedules with clubs and teams, ensure the safety and cleanliness of the premises, and act as the primary point of contact for facility users. This role includes supervising staff, managing bookings, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This position requires evening and weekend availability, aligning with facility usage hours.
Qualifications
* Experience in facility management, operations, or event coordination.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service and resolve conflicts effectively.
* Organisational and time‑management skills to coordinate multiple schedules and ensure smooth operations.
* Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
* Proficiency with booking systems and basic computer skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an energetic environment.
* A passion for sports and community engagement is highly desirable.
