Job Description Pay Rate: £13.70 per hour Shift Patterns: 37.5 hours/week: Days: 7:45 am - 8:15 pm Flexibility is required. Job Description Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you'll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives. Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites all across the UK. It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However whilst this is valuable, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to people's lives. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support. Benefits include: A competitive salary Enhanced disclosure cost coverage Comprehensive induction and commitment to on-going training 28 days annual leave including bank holidays Online benefits and cashback rewards Blue Light Card application opportunity Cycle to work scheme NEST pension option Benefits are subject to T&Cs Responsibilities Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes Assist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals Assistance and support to attend medical appointments Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff Encouragement to participate in social and recreational activities Qualifications and Skills Due to the location of the service, the successful candidate must be a car driver and owner. Qualifications and Skills Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature Empathy, understanding and patience Ability to work on your own and as part of a team Ability to understand and follow policies and procedure The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges Competent in verbal and written English A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential To be considered for this role, we require you to have the right to work in the UK. Additional Information Located near the village of Pontypool, Mountain View House offers residential support for seven people who are autistic. The house is in a rural location, next to a nature reserve, with amazing mountain views. Our team are dedicated to supporting our residents to live as independently as possible, and take part in the things that make them feel fulfilled. Disclosure All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland, and the cost of this will be covered by Priory.
