This strategic framework will be translated into a practical and actionable Asset Management Plan, ensuring a consistent and standardised approach across the SPS estate. The role focuses on performance optimisation, risk mitigation, and life cycle management, supporting long-term sustainability and operational objectives.Responsibilities: Lead the development of a robust system for managing the SPS asset portfolio across all establishments. Design and implement risk-based methodologies (e.g. FMEA) to identify and prioritise critical assets.Develop and maintain the SPS Asset Management Strategy and Plan, aligned with industry best practice (ISO 55000 and PAS 55 standards).Oversee asset performance reporting and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and cost-efficiency.Benchmark SPS maintenance performance against public and private sector comparators. Conduct life cycle analysis to inform capital replacement planning and investment decisions.Deliver a standardised maintenance integration process for capital projects, ensuring effective asset handover. Act as Technical Author for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules and associated documentation.Establish and maintain the Asset Information Requirements (AIR), Asset Information Model (AIM), and Common Data Environment (CDE). Develop and implement asset data governance standards and change control processes.Provide strategic input to the Technical Integrity Working Group and support compliance with evolving legislation and standards. Design and deliver training and guidance materials to upskill maintenance and estates staff in asset management best practices.Person Specification SPS recruitment and selection practice is based on the fundamentals of our Behavioural Competency Framework. Essential Proven experience in asset strategy development, technical specification writing, and maintenance integration with a strong understanding of BIM, ISO 55000, PAS 1192-3, BS EN 19650. Essential Knowledge of H&S legislation, British Standards, ACOPs, and statutory compliance. Essential In depth technical understanding of Maintenance Asset Management methodologies in relation to mechanical, electrical and building services.
