Join Jacobs as a Graduate Civil Engineer - Aviation (Manchester) through the Graduate Development Programme (GDP). The role is based in Manchester, United Kingdom, with a start date in September 2026. The GDP is a structured two-year scheme designed to support your development at the start of your Jacobs career journey, blending learning, mentoring, progress reviews and networking across four focus areas: human skills, consulting skills, strategy, and your passions.
The Opportunity
Jacobs is a market leader in the transportation sector, working with clients including National Highways, Transport for Scotland, Manchester Airport Group, Heathrow, HS2, the Welsh Government and others. As part of the Aviation team within Transportation, you will support senior engineers and directors on multi-disciplinary projects, contribute to civil engineering design, site work and client decision support, and collaborate with a global, integrated team.
Responsibilities
* Support senior engineers and directors in delivering multi-disciplinary aviation projects
* Contribute to civil engineering design and site activities
* Assist clients in making informed decisions through technical input
* Collaborate within a global Aviation community and growing team
What You'll Need
* Be working towards a Degree or Masters in Civil Engineering
* A flexible self-starter who is keen to drive your career forward
* Adaptable to change with a thirst for learning
* You must have the permanent right to work in the UK
