Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Designer to join our team in Stevenage. As a key member, you will understand clients’ needs, proactively identify solutions, and ensure service excellence in meeting expectations.
* Ensure the client is aware of their duties under CDM 2015.
* Review existing H&S information and advise if additional surveys are needed.
* Engage with stakeholders.
* Oversee the creation of the Design Risk Register.
* Assist the client in identifying suitable project preconstruction information.
* Compile the pre-construction information pack.
* Assure supplier appointment and advise on competency.
* Provide H&S information to the Principal Contractor for construction works.
* Liaise with the Principal Contractor during construction.
* Compile the Health and Safety File.
Qualifications
* NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ L6 in Health & Safety
* NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational H&S
* NEBOSH Fire Certificate
* Technical Member of IOSH
* Certified Member of IOSH
* Chartered Member of IOSH
* APS Principal Designer
* Extensive experience on similar projects/programmes
* Proficient in Design Risk Management
* Proficient in implementing the Hierarchy of Controls in designs
* Experience managing H&S risks during preconstruction
