Job Title: Child Support Worker
Location: Preston
Salary: 31,000 to 32,000
Hours: 3 days on, 4 days off (40hours total)

A Nurturing, child-centred residential home attached to a specialist SEN school, supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition and associated needs. Our home provides a safe, structured, and supportive environment for pupils aged primary through secondary, helping them to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
The Role:
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the daily lives of our children, providing care, emotional support, and encouragement. You'll work closely with education and clinical teams to ensure consistency and a holistic approach to each child's development. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting children with autism in their daily routines
Promoting independence, social skills, and emotional regulation
Contributing to care plans and progress reports
Engaging children in meaningful activities and community outings
Ensuring a safe, supportive living environment
Assisting with personal care where necessary
About You:
We're looking for empathetic, patient, and resilient individuals who have a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a SEN or residential care setting
A good understanding of Autism and the challenges it can bring
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A flexible approach to shift patterns, including sleep-ins
A relevant Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards one)
