AV Technical Coordinator 12 Months FTC
About The Role
We are looking for an Audio Visual Technician to join our team. This position is primarily responsible for providing support for the AV conference spaces and systems. The candidate will provide technical and general support to ensure proper availability and functionality of the AV spaces and equipment as well as rapid-response troubleshooting expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide white-glove technical support for internal, customer, and C-level executive meetings
2. Proactively identify potential AV issues and provide solutions to clients’ concerns or needs
3. Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of video conferencing services, for example, Microsoft Teams, Zoom or WebEx, etc.
4. Bring technical expertise and guidance for the deployment & operation of Crestron Flex and Polycom VTC codec
5. Proactively monitor and manage conference room booking system. Assist customers with booking different rooms when they are under repair
6. Review standard setup specifications for meetings and conferences
7. Contact clients to ensure proper set up of configurable rooms per specifications (table layout, airwall opening, and closure, technology configuration including microphones & projection needed, etc.)
8. Ensure cleanliness, temperature, and functionality of conference rooms
9. Electronics troubleshooting skills – ability to determine and localize where the problem exists
10. Maintain conference room standards for signage, equipment, and seating
11. Respond to client requests promptly
12. Ensure consumables are available for the client
13. Provides support for the audio-video systems and media control systems.
14. Troubleshoot and maintain audio/video devices and associated wiring. Responsible for putting in tickets with IT department responsible for audio visual technology
15. Perform routine and proactive testing to ensure the functionality of equipment before use.
16. Alignment and calibration procedures for audio and video devices
17. Responsible for communicating the need for maintenance or repair of audio-visual equipment
18. Perform regular maintenance, software and firmware updates, preventive maintenance, and routine repairs to provide uninterrupted service of all conference room equipment
19. Some commissioning and programming
20. Any other duties and tasks assigned
Qualifications
Required
21. 2 years’ experience in a client/customer service-oriented environment, preferably in a corporate conference centre
22. 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office in an office environment
23. Familiarity with integrated AV systems
24. Ability to learn new software as required for the position
25. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
26. Must always maintain a professional appearance and demeanour
27. Experience with a hotel, corporate conference centre, or large enterprise systems
Preferred
28. Demonstrate the ability to perform under pressure and manage time well
29. Experience with EMS or any web-based conference room scheduling system preferred
30. CTS Certification (preferred)
31. Crestron, AMX, or Extron Certifications (preferred)
32. DSP Programming (BIAMP, QCS) (preferred)
