Finance & Administration Assistant Job Overview
Location: Waters Green Medical Centre, Macclesfield
Hours: 22.5 hours per week over 3 or 4 days
Vernova Healthcare CIC is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking, and reliable Finance & Administration Assistant to join our friendly finance team.
Based at Waters Green Medical Centre in Macclesfield, you will be responsible for the coordination and processing of ledger entries, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in our accounting systems.
We are looking for someone with recent experience in a similar role. A working knowledge of Xero is preferable but not essential. If you have outstanding attention to detail, strong IT skills, and the ability to prioritise a busy workload, we would love to hear from you
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
Record ledger entries and ensure accurate posting of transactions into the accounting system.
Process purchase invoices for timely payment authorisation; produce and send remittance advice notes to suppliers.
Respond to finance-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Raise and issue sales invoices to customers.
Monitor customer accounts for non-payment and delayed payment.
Review and correct transaction entries as required.
Reconcile bank statements; assist in preparing trial balance and monthly management accounts.
Perform general finance administrative duties including filing, copying and scanning.
Manage petty cash and maintain accurate records.

Ideally 22.5 hours per week (flexibility available regarding working days and times)

Experience
* Recent experience of working in a finance/ bookkeeping role
* Experience of working with Sage Line 50 and/or similar accountancy package such as Xero

Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or similar / 2 A-levels (or equivalent)
