Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on leader to take charge of daily plant operations at our Rainham site. As Plant Supervisor, you’ll oversee production, maintenance, and team performance, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
You’ll be a visible and active presence on the plant floor, setting the standard for your team while also managing the administrative tasks within your remit. Your focus will be on organising staff, maintaining workflow, and driving productivity throughout the day.
This role is ideal for someone who can lead, train, support, and guide a team in a fast-paced environment while keeping safety, quality, and efficiency front of mind.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, train, and support the operational team to maintain high performance and productivity
* Oversee daily plant operations and workflow to ensure efficiency and safety
* Support and oversee plant maintenance, ensuring machinery is kept in good working order
* Handle administrative tasks related to operations and staffing
* Encourage teamwork, collaboration, and a positive working environment
Candidate profile
* At least 2 years’ experience in plant or warehouse leadership, or other relevant supervisory roles
* Proven track record in hands-on supervision of operational teams
* Strong knowledge of heavy machinery, with an understanding of maintenance requirements
* A collaborative approach and commitment to teamwork
* Confident and clear communication skills
* Ability to work a 45-hour week, typically 8:00am to 6:00pm
