We are recruiting for a small animal practice in Beckton who are looking for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse. The practice can also accept a 2nd year student veterinary nurse.
You will be joining a small, talented clinical team. The role will involve all aspects of nursing and you will be prepared to develop your skills by collaborating with the team. You will perform your nursing duties with confidence and competence to provide the gold standard of care to the practice's loyal clients by assisting vets in surgical procedures. You must have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Your nursing duties will involve managing the kennels, assisting in the operating theatre and consulting.
The role is full time for 40 hours per week, along with weekends on a rota. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
Duties:
8. Assisting in the day to day running of the practice
9. Admissions and discharges
10. Working alongside the non-clinical and clinical team to ensure the smooth delivery of patient and client care
11. Be responsible and take ownership of tasks
12. Monitoring operations and assisting the Vet in surgery
13. Administering medications and taking records accurately
14. In patient care
15. Nurse clinics
16. Measuring blood pressure, sampling, and pharmacy work
