Where Kindness Is Key
At Highgate Care, kindness isn’t just something we talk about, it’s the foundation of everything we do. As a small and compassionate care group, we pride ourselves on offering truly person‑centred care, where every resident is valued, supported, and able to thrive.

* Ensuring the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting or assisting residents with all aspects of daily living.
* Supporting the training and supervision of junior and new staff members in all aspects of their work in the home, under the supervision of senior staff members.
* Assisting residents in all aspects of their care needs (e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual). Providing supervision and attention when needed, ensuring residents retain their comfort and dignity.
* Paying particular attention to assisting residents who have limited mobility or physical/learning difficulties, making the best use of aids provided.
* Closely monitoring residents who may be confused or who have behavioural problems.
* Assisting in the promotion of continence.
* Assisting in the delivery of care for residents who are dying or who have a progressive illness. Assisting with last offices.
* Completing, observing and reviewing care planning needs for residents, and completing written daily records as instructed and in line with the company’s policies and procedures.
* Assisting in the framework of social activities by interacting with residents and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the home.
* Answering the nurse call system, giving assistance as required. Answering the door and telephone appropriately. Responding accordingly, and passing on messages promptly.
* Reporting on the well‑being of residents and liaising with GPs and support managers.
What We’re Looking For
* Warm, approachable, and brimming with positivity.
* Organised, reliable, and confident leading a team.
* Creative, enthusiastic, and able to motivate others.
* Passionate about improving the lives of older people.
* Able to work flexibly across some evenings and weekends.
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* NVQ Level 3 (or willing to work towards this).
What We Offer
* A friendly, supportive, and welcoming workplace.
* Real opportunities for ongoing training and career progression.
* A chance to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives every day.
* A valued role within a close‑knit team that cares as much about each other as we do our residents.
