This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Customer Service professional to play a key role in managing the full order process for a particular client product range. Reporting to the Customer Service Team Leader, the successful candidate will ensure every enquiry and order is handled efficiently, accurately, and with exceptional attention to detail.
Working closely with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams, you will help maintain smooth operations, strong communication, and on-time delivery. The role also offers the chance to build lasting relationships, identify upselling opportunities, and contribute to the companys ongoing commitment to Customer Service Excellence delivering the right product, at the right price, at the right time, every time.
What we need from you:
Minimum of 3 years customer service experience, ideally within retail, manufacturing, or another product-based environment
Confidence working with measurements, calculations, and conversions used in manufacturing
Great communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, influence others, and resolve issues effectively
Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities
A practical, detail-focused approach and the ability to apply technical knowledge to everyday tasks
Good IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and experience using order processing systems
At least 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
A full UK driving licence is essential to be able to drive to their sister site once every 6 weeks 1.5 hours travel time
Desirable:
Experience of CAD and SAP software
What the role involves:
Responsible for assigned customer base ensuring all aspects of the customer's order are managed and customer enquiries are handled efficiently, quotations and sample requests are prepared in a timely manner, and projects are registered in the dedicated system and CRM systems are up to date
Process all incoming orders onto the system, and ensure that customer receives expected level of communication and follow up throughout
Manage the debit/credit note process to customer and company requirements and proforma invoice and account status communication with customers as required
Manage any customer complaints & returns effectively and efficiently
Prepare customer drawing presentations using CAD software when required, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all instances
Meet operational targets set for team/department
Liaise with supply chain and 3rd parties, to ensure required order delivery and report on failed/late deliveries to facilitate management follow-up
Salary: £27,500 - £30,000 per year, depending on experience, plus bonus scheme.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm, with an hour for lunch.
