Are you a highly organised individual with a passion for supporting education? Compass Community is seeking a dedicated School Operations Officer to ensure the smooth running of our School’s non‑teaching operations. This is a pivotal role, sitting between office staff and senior leadership, where you’ll make a real difference to our staff, pupils, and families.
What You’ll Do
* Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the school office, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front‑of‑house service.
* Manage school systems and databases, including pupil records, attendance, and safeguarding.
* Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Headteacher and wider school team.
* Coordinate maintenance, health and safety checks, and resource orders.
* Support statutory data submissions and compliance processes.
* Act as the first point of contact for parents and carers, ensuring timely and professional communication.
* Organise school meetings and events, including agendas and minute‑taking.
* Support with HR administration, admissions, and financial compliance.
What We’re Looking For
* Strong administrative experience, ideally in education, social care, or a regulatory setting.
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
* Highly organised, with outstanding attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Clear communicator, both written and verbal.
* Discreet, professional, and committed to confidentiality.

* Familiarity with compliance processes, audits or data reporting (desirable).
