Senior Consultant - Building Pathology
Location: Leighton Buzzard
Salary + Car or Allowance
Hours hours per week (Mon – Fri) + Overtime available

On behalf of our client, Initivo Consultancy, we are looking for a proactive Senior Consultant to join Initivo's Building Pathology team.
In this senior role, you will take ownership of complex projects, from bidding and planning through to delivery and reporting, while acting as a trusted advisor to clients and a role model to colleagues.
What you'll do
* Lead and deliver building pathology projects including:
o Full condition surveys (intrusive and non-destructive)
o Concrete assessments (composition, deterioration, corrosion)
o Water ingress investigations and remediation planning
o Non-destructive testing (GPR, ultrasonic pulse echo, etc.)
o Full building investigations for repurposing and design input
o Laboratory testing coordination and results interpretation
* Produce and review high-quality technical reports for clients
* Manage projects independently, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability targets are met
* Engage directly with clients, understanding their needs and delivering solutions that exceed expectations
* Lead project planning, resourcing, task allocation, and performance monitoring
* Support and mentor team members, contributing to their professional development
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
* Oversee risk management, cost control, and contractual responsibilities
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement across all projects
What we're looking for
* Professional membership of a relevant institution (desirable)
* Strong technical expertise in building investigations, surveying, or engineering
* Proven track record in project management and delivery
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage clients and lead teams effectively
* Strong commercial awareness, with experience in cost control and contract management
* Ability to analyse complex requirements and identify optimal solutions
* Leadership qualities with a collaborative, supportive approach
* Commitment to safety, sustainability, and technical excellence
