We are currently looking for an Appointeeship case Officer to join our busy team. The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, well organised and be able to manage a caseload of vulnerable adults.
We are looking for a highly motivated person who can demonstrate well developed administrative, ICT, communication and negotiating skills. Excellent people skills are essential as well as a professional manner.
You will be responsible for managing the financial affairs of individuals who have been deemed to lack mental capacity, which includes maximising benefit income and making payments for day to day living costs (including for example household bills/care home fees). You must be able to work independently and as part of a team who is able to adapt to a wide range of tasks.
The main duties of the post:
* Manage a caseload of mainly appointeeship cases
* Provide advice and guidance to clients, their Care Managers, carers and families as appropriate
* Banking, payment of bills, personal allowance and other financial requirements
You will have experience in/of;
* Administration, IT and financial systems
* Planning, organisational and negotiations skills
* Able to work as part of a team
