Hours: 21 hours per week (0.6 FTE)
Location: 29-31 Montgomery Street, Belfast
Campaign Service/Cause: Volunteering
Remuneration: £25,476 - £27,919 Pro-rata
Overall Purpose of Post
The Volunteer Engagement Co-Ordinator is responsible for volunteer retention and coordination across the organization. The role involves managing data, supporting volunteer recruitment, induction, and development, and promoting good practice in service delivery, evaluation, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, support, and retain volunteers; oversee volunteer database; process Access NI checks; organize training; develop new initiatives; liaise with external agencies; promote volunteering; monitor activities and impact.
2. Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning: Develop and support monitoring and evaluation processes; assess outcomes; coordinate satisfaction surveys; align evaluation with funding requirements.
3. Quality Assurance and Development: Review and develop policies; ensure compliance with legislation; promote diversity and inclusion; recommend quality improvements.
4. Data and Information Management: Collect and analyze data; ensure GDPR compliance; inform service provision and fundraising.
5. External Relationships: Build stakeholder relationships; represent the organization; develop partnerships.
6. General: Support volunteers; promote services; undertake additional duties as required; flexible working including evenings and weekends.
Person Specification
Essential: Experience in training and organizing events for volunteers; managing people; relevant qualifications; excellent communication, organizational, and IT skills; ability to work independently and in teams; full driving license and access to transport; adaptable and empathetic.
Desirable: Experience in health and social care; community engagement; developing training programs; working in voluntary sectors; management qualifications.
