Job objectives and responsibilities:
You will form part of the on site team and be responsible for carrying out a wide range of commercial electrical installation, maintenance, fault finding and reactive repairs to the various LV electrical systems on site. You will also carry out a multitude of other service tasks unrelated to your primary trade at both of the aforementioned locations.
Main duties
Assist Contract Manager in organisation, management and co-ordination of on-site services to ensure service is maintained to the highest standard in all circumstances
• Ability to carry out minor surveys and inspections
• Simple Report writing is essential to the role.
• Achieve contract SLA/KPI in all reactive / planned work orders across all service lines for the contract site.
• To understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time
• To learn, understand and comply with Client policies and procedures
• To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner, using point of work risk assessments where required.
• To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
• To attend and fully participate in training and the annual review / appraisal process as required
• To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required
• To ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements and to assist in any training of the team.
• If requested, to assist with the monitoring and supervision of subcontractors on a day to day basis, including apprentices. This to include assisting with the processing and completion of college reports if required.
• To perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on all associated water services equipment, including fault diagnostics and repair.
• Participate in adherence to Quality System documentation.
Person Specification
1. Experience in 3 phase and single phase Electrical Installations & Repair, motors, pumps and some controls are desirable
2. Competent LV Electrical installation and maintenance excluding testing
3. City & Guilds or equivalent qualifications
4. Strong customer care focus
5. Good Health and Safety awareness and knowledge
6. Full and Clean driving Licence
7. Ability to work at heights is advantageous
8. Smart in appearance
9. Polite, patient and good humoured
10. Able to process Administration tasks associated with the role
11. Committed to delivering quality
12. Reliable and flexible
13. Able to work as part of a Team or on their own
Typical Hours
Off Call Normal Weekly Hours – 07.00 – 16.00hrs M-F
On Call Normal Weekly Hours – 09.00 – 18.00hrs F - TH
