SUMMARY
We are seeking an organized, reliable, detail and service-oriented warehouse supervisor to join our growing team. In this position, you will monitor warehouse inventory as well as manage warehouse staff to ensure that products are stored and shipped out in an accurate, efficient manner. Previous warehouse experience is required. The ideal candidate must be driven and want progression throughout DSV
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinate and oversee all warehouse logistics
2. Supervise and direct warehouse staff; put worker safety as a top priority
3. Track and account for all incoming and outgoing products
4. Confirm proper and timely delivery of products
5. Perform various inventory counts; order supplies and goods as needed
6. Supervise all forklift operations
7. Maintain warehouse and machinery, ensuring equipment is serviced when needed and a clean and tidy workspace is kept at all times
8. Maintain shipping documentation, manifests, and receipts; enter relevant data in reports as needed
9. Ensure that shipment materials match packing lists before dispatching orders
10. Ensure proper transport, packaging, and placement of products
11. Abide by and enforce facility rules and state laws and regulations
12. Improve warehouse work processes through strategic planning in order to create a more efficient fulfilment system
13. Review timeliness of scheduled deliveries.
14. Track inventory levels
15. Order new supplies in a timely manner
16. Make suggestions for productivity improvements
17. Determine and track most important warehouse KPIs
18. Ensure that facility equipment is properly maintained.
19. The Supervisor will also be expected to act up for management to cover leave and absence.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
20. Motivate and lead warehouse staff to effectively carry out given tasks
21. Assist in the hiring and training process of new warehouse staff
22. Constantly work to improve processes
23. Optimize employee workflow
24. Communicate and collaborate with other team members
25. Train, guide and evaluate new warehouse workers.
26. Take part in grievance and disciplinary hearings
27. Monitor performance and absence and carry out return to works and conduct welfare meetings.
EXPERIENCE
28. Supervisory and Team Leader skills with the ability to motivate, develop and supervise others
29. Good communication and interpersonal skills
30. Good IT skills, in particular spreadsheets and databases and a knowledge of warehouse systems
31. Analytical and numerical
32. Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality
33. Good planning skills and able to meet targets and deadlines
34. Excellent attention to detail skills

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
38. GCSEs Level A-C, NVQ Level 2,
39. An appropriate warehousing qualification would be advantageous
40. Certified in: Dangerous Goods Handling
41. A supervisory qualification would also be beneficial
42. Proven experience as a Warehouse Team Leader with experience of supervising and motivating a team
43. A good working knowledge of health and safety and security requirements
44. Knowledge and understanding of lean techniques may be advantageous
45. Fork-Lift Truck licence is required
