Job overview
The post holder will work within the Treatment team, which includes 2 NMPs, mental health nurses, a senior health and wellbeing nurse, consultants, practitioners from partner agencies such as Nacro and Aquarius, and a DALT team working within Royal Wolverhampton Trust.

The post holder will collaborate with the team leader to develop effective systems for measuring performance outputs and prescribing outcomes. They will work to ensure effective care pathways that enhance individual recovery, goal achievement, and reintegration, forming partnerships with community organizations to support the recovery journey.
Main duties of the job
* Collaborate with the service manager to develop systems for collecting performance outcomes related to non-medical prescribing.
* Operate as an independent practitioner within the service.
* Manage a caseload for prescribing, ensuring it enhances service delivery.
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate clinical care, adhering to local and national policies and legislation.
* Ensure service users are informed about prescribed medications and potential side effects.
Main responsibilities include
* Running daily clinics for prescribing or reviewing clients' medication and managing a caseload of prescribing clients, with a lead role in a specific service area.
* Participating in senior meetings.
* Working with the service manager and consultants to develop and review pathways and guidelines.

Experience
* NMC pin number.
* Experience in prescribing within a substance misuse service.
