Job Description:
Field Service Engineer / Field Support Technician who can fault-find hardware and software applications and break-fix hardware devices, who also has excellent client-facing skills is required for a well-established company that delivers and supports a wide range of technical services and hardware for the Retail and Hospitality Industry.
Locations deployed:
Darlington & surrounding area.
Duties:
* Conduct daily visits to client locations for break-fix installation, refurbishment, and maintenance of EPoS equipment, chip and pin devices, tablets, digital menu boards, media screens, kitchen management systems, routers, Wi-Fi, and other IT equipment.
* Travel to client sites to provide on-site equipment swap-out services, minimizing downtime.
* Set up Wi-Fi devices and identify faults with data network cables on-site.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical hardware or software issues during site visits, escalating when necessary.
* Document troubleshooting steps and actions, obtaining client sign-off before completing tasks.
Note: There will be UK-wide travel and overnight stays as required.
All levels of experience considered.
Experience in installing, integrating, and testing EPoS hardware/software is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. Experience in IT Technical Support, Electronic Equipment Installation, or similar environments is important.
Salary: £27,057 per annum (including On-Call).
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 13-hour shifts, 3 days on/3 days off, including weekends and bank holidays.
Requirements: Full UK Manual Driver’s License is essential. The role involves daily travel to client sites and overnight stays.
