Senior Civil Engineer£47,000 - £56,000BournemouthWe’re working with a forward-thinking consultancy that is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to strengthen their Christchurch team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to step up into a more senior role, taking on greater responsibility for design delivery, mentoring, and client liaison.The role: Leading the preparation of highway and drainage designs for S104, S38 and S278 applicationsProducing and checking technical outputs, including drawings, reports and calculationsDelivering drainage strategies, SuDS design and Flood Risk AssessmentsSupporting and mentoring junior engineers, reviewing work and providing guidanceManaging projects with moderate supervision, ensuring quality and timely deliveryLiaising with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholdersStaying up to date with industry trends, standards and best practiceWhat we’re looking for:Around 5+ years’ UK consultancy experience in highways/drainage designProficient in Civil 3D, Causeway Flow / MicroDrainage, AutoCADExperience with approvals processes (S104, S106, S38, S278)Strong project management and client-facing skillsProgressing towards, or already holding, Chartered status (ICE/CIHT)Collaborative, proactive and motivated to grow with the businessWhat’s on offer:£47,000 – £56,000 salary (DOE)Excellent mentorship and development opportunitiesSupport with professional qualifications (IEng / CEng)25 days holiday + bank holidaysPension scheme, healthcare and flexible benefitsHybrid working arrangementsThis is a fantastic chance to step into a senior role in Bournemouth, where you’ll work on a variety of projects, guide junior staff, and progress your career within a respected and growing consultancy.
