Learning Support Specialist - Special Educational Needs, complex needs and social, emotional mental health - to start September!
Responsibilities
* Work alongside the class teacher and other Teaching Assistants supporting students with everyday school life.
* Support students with SEMH needs and associated behaviours that challenge within an bespoke alternative provision setting.
* Contribute to delivering a varied and engaging curriculum, including additional vocational subjects.
* Be a positive, proactive team player who is nurturing, resilient and flexible to adapt to different environments.
About the role and setting
The role is with a bespoke alternative provision school in central Birmingham, catering for students in KS3 and KS4. The school provides tailored provision to meet each child’s needs. Opportunities may be temporary to permanent for the right candidates.
Qualifications and experience
* Experience supporting children and young people with SEMH needs and associated behaviours that challenge.
* A teaching and learning qualification would be ideal.
* Appropriate candidates will be considered on an individual basis.
