Job Role: Administration Support
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35-hour week.
Location: Preston (PR5)
Pay: 25k - 30k per annum, dependant on experience
Manpower is pleased to be recruiting for one of our Clients for an Admin Support Agent based in Preston, on a temp basis, for a minimum of 6 months. They are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrative Support professional to assist their Manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will provide clerical and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations, compliance with regulatory standards, and efficient communication across departments.
Key Responsibilities: Engineering support
1. Maintain and update maintenance records, service logs, and equipment documentation.
2. Assist in scheduling preventive maintenance, repairs, and service calls.
3. Support inventory management of tools, spare parts, and supplies.
4. Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and liaise with vendors as needed.
5. Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentations related to maintenance KPIs and production metrics.
6. Coordinate team meetings, safety training sessions, and document compliance checks.
7. Handle timekeeping records, work orders, and shift schedules.
8. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and assist in documentation of inspections and audits.
9. Provide general administrative support including data entry, filing, answering phones, and responding to internal inquiries.
Key Responsibilities: Production support
10. Provide administrative support for Continuous Improvement activities, including project tracking, meeting coordination, and follow-ups.
11. Assist with scheduling and logistics for Kaizen events, Lean workshops, training sessions, and cross-functional team meetings.
12. Maintain and update CI project dashboards, action logs, and status reports.
13. Prepare presentations, training materials, standard work documentation, and reports.
14. Track and compile KPIs, metrics, and data analytics to support performance improvement initiatives.
15. Coordinate internal communications related to CI programs, recognition, and success stories.
16. Support document control and ensure the proper versioning of CI-related SOPs, work instructions, and process maps.
17. Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth implementation of improvement projects and initiatives.
18. Assist in preparing executive summaries, business cases, and post-implementation reviews.
HR Support
19. Provide administrative support to the HR team in areas such as recruiting, onboarding, training coordination, and employee communications.
20. Maintain and update employee records, both digital and physical, in accordance with internal policies and legal requirements.
21. Manage HR calendars, track deadlines, and ensure timely completion of compliance-related documentation.
22. Respond to routine inquiries from employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
23. Support payroll and benefits administration by collecting and organising required documentation.
24. Help coordinate employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and internal communication initiatives.
25. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Qualifications and Essentials
26. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
27. 2+ years of administrative experience, ideally within a CI, manufacturing, or operations environment.
28. Strong organisational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
29. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); experience with project management or CI software (e.g., Smartsheet, Trello, Power BI) is a plus.
30. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
31. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
