Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Do you have experience working in Key Stage 1 and want to make a real difference in a child’s learning journey?
Hays Education is working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Lambeth to recruit a dedicated KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time role starting in September, ideal for someone with a nurturing approach and a genuine interest in SEN support.

Your Role:
1. Supporting a KS1 pupil diagnosed with SEN on a 1:1 basis
2. Assisting the class teacher with differentiated learning activities
3. Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
4. Helping with speech and language development and sensory needs
5. Liaising with SENCO and external professionals
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
6. Experience working with children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, speech & language, etc.)
7. A calm, patient and empathetic approach
8. Strongmunication and teamwork skills
9. A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
10. Ideally, a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (not essential)
